Why Can't I Find AMSOIL at Stores, Garages, and Car Dealerships?
Amsoil has been in business since 1972. We market through independent Dealers. Many stores will not carry Amsoil because Amsoil will not undercut the Dealers and sell to the stores cheaper. So the stores can not make more than the Dealers on the oils and lubes and they refuse in most cases to buy at our margin. Quick change garages are hesitant because they want you coming back every 2-3000 miles so they can make more profit and sell you extra services. Auto Dealers don't recommend synthetic oil becuase it makes the vehicles last twice as long. That is counter productive to their business. They are in business to SELL cars and REPAIR cars. An oil that prevents beakdowns and makes cars last for hundreds of thousands of extra miles is not what they WANT. That decreases business not increases it. They are not interested in making your car last longer. Don't be fooled by the lies the oil and auto industries tell. Big Oil and the Auto industry are in bed together and have tried to surpress and keep synthetic oil off the market and out of stores and garages for 30 years.
When Al Amatuzio first established the "First Synthetic Oil" available for the American public in 1972 he had some major problems. No stores would carry the radical new product, garages laughed at synthetic oil and said it was snake oil, Car Manufacturers told customers they would void their warranties, big oil companies told the public that synthetic oil was a fake and didn't do what it claimed. To say the least he was completely stonewalled at every attempt to market his new product.
So Al found that the only way to market AMSOIL was to use word of mouth marketing. Word of mouth marketing has become a legitimate marketing plan because of pioneering companies like AMSOIL. It's called Network Marketing and is now taught in the most prestigeous Business Universities in the Country as a legitimate business plan.
Now every store would love to carry AMSOIL on their shelves. But Al Amatuzio has a Network of a hundred thousand or so independent Dealers that he will not back stab, undercut, or abandon. I doubt you'll ever see AMSOIL in any of the large chain retail or auto stores. It would be a slap in the face to all the Dealers that have put Al where he is today. He knows that and has stated he and his company will stand behind his Dealers, now and in the future.
If you need AMSOIL, it is easily obtained FACTORY DIRECT through Authorized Dealers. Delivered right to your door via UPS. If you want a premium product like a Tiffanys Diamond, you're not going to find it at Wal-Mart, and not even at any of the Jewelery Stores in your home town. You have to contact Tiffanys. AMSOIL is the Number 1 premium oil and if you want the best don't go looking at Wal-Mart. You'll never find AMSOIL there.
I might add that all these people, businesses and nay-sayers from the 1970's have been proven wrong. I've told people before and I'm going to say it again and again. The Car Manufacturers, Car Repair Industry, Oil Change Industry, and Auto Parts Industry do not care to make your vehicle last longer. If you have repair problems it's more business for them. If you have vehicle problems it benefits:
- The New Vehicle Manufacturers (we keep our vehicles less time)
- The Auto Parts Industry
- The Towing Industry
- The Auto Repair Industry
- The Engine Replacement Industry
IF YOU HAVE PROBLEMS AND YOUR CAR DOESN'T LAST IT'S MORE BUSINESS FOR THEM. THEY LINE THEIR POCKETS BECAUSE YOUR VEHICLE HAS PROBLEMS AND NEEDS REPAIR OR HAS CATASTROPHIC FAILURE.
THEY ARE NOT IN YOUR CORNER, AMSOIL IS. WE ARE THERE TO HELP YOU MAKE YOUR VEHICLE LAST LONGER! THAT IS OUR MISSION.
